Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

After reading good reviews of this campsite my family booked to stay for ten days. However the site changed hands in April of this year. The new owner has created an oppressive atmosphere by walking around seemingly just to point out wrongdoings. The site had many rules. One rule was a noise ordinance for 10:30, I thought this would mean no loud music or parties but it meant not even quiet conversation outside your tent looking at the stars! The owner also reprimanded our son who was making noise by bouncing a ball at 9:30 outside a friends pitch by pulling his hair and making threats. The owner was not welcoming at all and just kept saying 'I am not a reasonable man and I don't have to be' and 'I own this land, I can do what I want'. He was never polite and never made any positive comments. I witnessed him late one night looking in the window of a caravan.

Apart from that the toilets and showers were closed for cleaning between 11am and 2pm. The freezer for ice blocks did not seem to be turned on during the day. There was no place to clean wetsuits and they were not allowed in the showers. The showers themselves were lukewarm and were operated by a button that gave a very short time.

This is not a good site for families or for groups. We spoke to police and left to find another campsite.
