We stayed at this site for 2 weeks. The staff were very friendly, Joseph couldn’t do enough for you. They had a show on every night. Clown show music etc all aimed at children: happy kids, happy parents. The bar/pool area is very safe and very clean. The site is clean and well maintained but I personally found the pitches very small (probably because the beach is on site). The restaurant had limited take away but you had a good selection of restaurants very close by. Very central location and very nice place would recommend it for a warm friendly lively stay.

This was our first visit to the Vendee. We stayed at this campsite for two weeks. Weatherwise the first week was not good and quite cold but the second week improved and we were able to appreciate the situation of the campsite, which had its own private access to the beach. There was an indoor pool, outdoor pool with children's area sectioned off and a pool for the slides to go into; all of which were heated. We went with Thomson Alfresco who we have been with before as I love their mobile homes which are spotless and new, also they have a decked veranda and most importantly a patio heater if you want to sit out at night-time when it's a bit cooler. The immediate area is a bit 'touristy' with a funfair, English pub, etc. However there are plenty of lovely places to visit further afield, such as St Gilles Croix de Vie, Les Sables d'Olonne, Bretignolles sur Mer, Apremont, etc. The only downside for me was that I wanted to brush up on my French and everywhere we went they spoke English even when you spoke to them in French.
