I do not agree with you, Alice. It just happens that I have happily been back to this campsite for the second year, and yet I do not partake of their boozing, and I’m not even from this region. This campsite is very welcoming, and the cleanliness is exemplary. You should know that the owner regularly buys brushes and cleaning products for the toilets, which are then stolen by people passing through.

My thanks to Marcel and his family for the super-friendly welcome and holiday that they gave us.
Pleasant evenings, and a superb environment (between the Rhône and the lake, the horses, the peacock, everything is there!!).
We made some good friends, and the summer passed all too quickly.
So, we look forward to the next season!!!!

The campsite of Le Châtelet at Andance is one of the rare site where you get latge pitches of more than 100m2; its green spaces, its magnificent trees around the lake, where it's true, in high season, the waterlevel is rather low, and you see algae, but it's not at all dirty, it's natural. You have space, and remember it takes all sorts to make a world, so campers are varied, but there's a good atmosphere in general, and everyone is very friendly, though discreet. The bar is an excellent friendly place, lively and noisy. There are youngsters who play table football and pinball, and others who play boules. And the pool is just in front, which also create noise.
But it's a holiday, isn't it?

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

Hello, we came back from our holidays 4 days ago.
We cut it short because right from the start it was neither welcoming nor clean.
In our mobile home for 6, you could get only 4 adults and one 4-year-old child.
It hadn't been cleaned: there were spiders' webs, the cooker was dirty, the ceiling quite yellow, and the shower was mouldy. The cupboards smelt, and as for the mattresses, my daughter and my husband came back with bites.
They've got 3 stars, but there's no playground for the children, the pond is dirty, no fishing possible, the whole description of the site is false.
There you go: that's what I thought of the place.

Lolita, I do not agree with you! I can tell you that cleaning is done after each holidaymaker! It's true that in August, there is a flood of people coming and going, and it's possible that the lack of time is the reason for some oversight in the cleaning. As for yellowing paint, if people smoke in the mobile homes, then I think it is they who do not respect those who are to follow. Do you think they should repaint after each letting? As for the space, having stayed in one, I found that there was plenty of space. When you choose a campsite in the Ardèche, you know you're going to be in the countryside, with advantages and disadvantages just like everywhere. It's a shame that you were not able to benefit from the positive aspects, or that you didn't have the time! People are not unsociable, and a bit of dialogue would not do any harm!
