Diglea Camping and Caravan Park

32 Beach Road, Snettisham, Kings Lynn

We have just returned from a week at Diglea. The weather was awful & the campsite is a bit on the windy side - but as it is very close to the coast / beach, it is to be expected. We were in the rally field; the pitch size was generous & we had plenty of choice. The management had coned off a couple of pitches they thought were getting boggy. The shower / toilet / washing up facilities in the rally field were excellent - free, instant hot water at any time & plenty of toilet roll - all in a clean modern block. The staff were really nice & the emphasis was definitely on family groups. Highly recommended!!

Little Lakeland Caravan Park

Wortwell, Harleston

What a delight! We have been camping and caravanning for over 20 years and this was the nicest site we have ever been on, spotless showers, friendly, helpful people and idyllic scenery, lovely shop - just great - we booked for next year whilst still there!

Hevingham Lakes

Hevingham, Norwich

If you want peace and tranquillity, with adequate facilities, Hevingham Lakes fits the bill. We have been going there every year for extended stays for probably over 15 years now and still look forward to next camping season there. The site has direct access onto Buxton Heath, a nature reserve with an abundance of wildlife - deer, foxes, adders, slow worms, lizards, woodpeckers, blue butterflies, nightjars and woodcock flying over on summer evenings, not forgetting the glow-worms. However, major clearance work has taken place this autumn to remove scrub, so we will have to wait to see what effect this has had. Some hook ups are now available for those who want it, but who needs the TV when you can watch the stars and satellites overhead. The owners make it a home from home and the fishing isn't bad either!

Fakenham Racecourse

The Racecourse, Fakenham

Having just returned from the Fakenham Racecourse 03/07/2011, The staff were very helpful and very polite, I took my 10 month Grandson with us and they did not have a changing unit because they have never had children so young camp there before. The next day they went out and purchased a baby changing unit for us to use. Not many campsites would do this for you, the amenities were very clean and would reccomend this site to anybody. FANTASTIC TIME and defiantly go again 4+++++++++++

Kelling Heath Holiday Park

Blue Sky Leisure, Weybourne, Sheringham

Have been to this site on and off for over 16 years. Facilities are excellent although the indoor pool and leisure club is expensive. Everything you need is there - excellent shop, club house, launderette, bike hire, take-away service, adventure playgrounds for kids, pools both indoor and outdoor, ponds for fishing all tastefully done but best of all is the location. The surrounding environment is woodland and heathland. You can definitely get away from people once you start walking around this vast site, it is excellent for wildlife particularly birds. It is a busy site and they can really pack the tents in - we used to camp in the big field away from all the facilities and found it very peaceful but you can't do that any more and so if your a camper unless your lucky enough to get one of the more private plots you will be on top of lots of other tents. Would return to Kelling to stay in a lodge but not to camp. We all have very fond memories of Kelling Heath and would definitely recommend it to families - if the weather is bad there is lots going on for children.

Bureside Holiday Park

Boundary Farm, Oby, Gt Yarmouth

We personally love this site. We have been here both in a tent and a caravan. The site is well placed for touring and walking and the pub is a ten-minute walk by track over fields. Not wanting to give too much away on my opinion, as we don't want all and sundry to come!! We like it because it is a nice friendly, quiet family site with lots of space between your tents and caravans. Yes it does have an outside pool that you have to pay for but as stated above at least it limits the numbers. If you're looking for an all singing all dancing, club and supermarket on site etc etc then it is the wrong site for you!!

Seacroft Camping Park

Runton Road, Cromer

We tried this site on the recommendation of a work collegue and had a very pleasant stay. They accomodated our trailer tent with two of our boys sharing a smaller tent on the same pitch at no extra cost. The staff are very helpful and when we had a minor medical emergency during the stay, were very supportive. The toilet/shower block is impressive and quite new, it was very well maintained and cleaned regularly. It seems to be a quiet site overall but there is not as much open space as I have come across on some other sites, some of the pitches seem to be surrounded by other campers/caravaners, but this is only a very small gripe as the site itself is very well run and well maintained. One of the best bits for us was the heated outdoor pool which was plenty warm enough to just jusp straight in, any hotter and you would be able to take tea bags in with you! We did not try the onsite club and bar but have been told that it is good. It is about a fifteen minute walk into Cromer and the beach or going the other direction 10 mins walk brings you to East Runton where there is a decent chippy, a general store and also a very good camp shop with some of the most helpful staff that I have encountered. If you are looking for a lively time you would be better off at one of the larger sites but if you want to be able to relax and still have a bit of fun then this site is ideal.

Ivy Farm Holiday Park

1 High Street, Overstrand, Cromer

Very clean toilet and shower block, friendly site owners, although we had bad weather we enjoyed our stay, very peaceful and quiet just what we needed, our 1st visit to this area and site and it surpassed our expectations,we will be visiting again sometime in the next few months, (and yes most mobiles don't get a signal on site)

Hemsby Tent and Touring

Long Beach, Great Yarmouth

Great Site, friendly staff, warden controlled till late at night, have as much space as you need, nearby everything you need, walk to beach. Will visit again.

Virginia Lake Caravan Park

Smeeth Road, St Johns Fen End, Wisbech

Virginia Lake is probably the cleanest site I have ever seen in my 30+ years of camping. The site itself is well lit with low level lighting throughout and is monitored by C.C.T.V. with the gates being secured at night. The spacious play area is fully and securely fenced and it is equipped with a tree house and slide, swings, climbing frame and play blocks. It is central to most pitches and within sight of The Club, which has outside seating ideal for parental supervision. The owners and staff are very friendly and make you feel at home straight away. The bar and food are excellent, the site is very quiet and has approximately 2 acres of lake stocked with Roach, Rudd, Bream, Barbel, Perch, Chub, Tench and Carp of 30 pounds, plus the fishing lake offers 31 pegs including 2 disabled areas. Although not an angler my self (yet) i was amazed at the care and attention that goes into the lake. To those new to the sport a licence can be acquired from the Post Office a 2 minute walk from the site. All ages are welcome, and children under 14 can fish if accompanied by an adult.

Dower House Touring Park

Thetford Forest, East Harling, Norwich

Fantastic site - has everything for young and old alike. The whole family went, 10 of us in 2, 6-man tents. They have a rule that pitches must be at least 6 metres apart, which everyone respected. Plenty of space to kick a ball around as well as areas set aside for games e.g. football, table tennis, swimming etc. Full range of excellent, clean facilities e.g. toilets, showers, laundry, wash-up areas, freezers for your picnic box blocks, etc., etc. Good bar and restaurant; really friendly and helpful. Kids loved it and can't wait to go again. This is what camping is all about. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and worth every penny. Thoroughly recommended.
