Torvaig Campsite

Torvaig, Portree

Very nice campsite, and well maintained with numerous clean toilets. However, it is on a bit of a slope… £10 for the tent, car, and two people. You can charge your portable bits for 50p per charge.

Kilmuir, Portree

Still one of our favourite campsites ! We spent 2 nights here this year all alone with no other campers ! Just such a beautiful place.......

Staffin Campsite

Staffin, Isle of Skye

Pleasant campsite at the foot of the Quiraing. Lots of pitches are on a slope, but not all. Toilet blocks always clean, showers hot. Small kitchen with microwave and kettles. Managers very friendly. We paid £16 per night, for a family of 5. Unfortunately, no laundry. There is one a bit further down in the town, inside the local shop, but it's expensive. Cheap Internet access in the village community centre.

Glenbrittle Campsite

Glenbrittle, Carbost

This campsite belongs to Macleod of Dunvegan and has a friendly family who act as wardens during the camping season. Stunning scenery, on the sea (Loch Brittle) with the Cuillin Hills behind. Perfect for kayakers and hillwalkers or anyone just wanting peace and quiet. There's an on-site shop which sells the basics in the way of food plus camping gear etc, there's also a coffee machine. A beautiful, peaceful place. It costs £5.50 per night per person

Sligachan Campsite

This is a popular campsite for hillwalkers, very close to the road going north towards Portree. Beautiful views of the Cuillin Hills. Basic facilities. Don't come here without provisions, there are no shops nearby! However, there's Sligachan Hotel just across road with a good pub and pub meals! There's also a bunkhouse nearby. Just choose your pitch and someone will come to see you later!
